- Transport
Having your own car in South Africa is by far the most practical option. You can buy a decent, solid car from about 2500 euro. Renting one can done for about 300 euro per month. In South Africa, petrol is about half the price compared to European prices.
- Outdoor activities
One can do several fun things - indoor and outdoor - as well as visiting the tourist spots in South Africa for a wide range of prices. Going to see a movie will cost you about 3,50 euro, while taking the boat to Robben Island costs 16,50 euro per person. Getting up Table Mountain by cable car adds up to 7,50 euro per person, while flying to Johannesburg and back will cost you around 100 euro. Getting away for a weekend in the surroundings of Cape Town or Port Elizabeth will also cost you about 100 euro, including accommodation, food and some adventure.
