4exchange volunteering south africa: how much does it cost?
Service costs among volunteer projects differ, due to the fact that some projects offer food and/or accommodation, and others don't. Generally basic service costs for all projects are around 450,- euro. Please find more detailed information on costs and prices on our website.
The service costs ensures you can stay at the project for as long as you would like (unless stated otherwise), and guarantees that 4exchange remains your first entry of contact during your total stay in South Africa.
This includes expenses for the mediation, help in finding suitable accommodation, help getting a visa and filling out any other paper work, your personal pick-up from the airport, as well as arranging transport (rental car), if desired. Throughout your whole stay as a volunteer in South Africa, we remain your first entry of contact for on-site support. Furthermore we regularly organise social events and outings for you, to meet other international volunteers and students, and to explore the beautiful country of South Africa.
Costs for the visa, ticket, accommodation and car are at your own expense. Furthermore you will get a welcome pack containing information about Cape Town and a prepaid sim card for your mobile phone.
