Do you like working with small children in day care, with street kids or do you prefer working with animals in a game park? For volunteer work, there are both short term projects (2 weeks minimum) as well as longer term projects possible. Long term volunteer projects are relatively easier to assign, because a longer term stay offers the organization a bigger benefit from your presence. In general volunteer projects - especially social ones - a minimum stay of six weeks is desired.
